Comparison Criteria | Our Eco-Stone | Natural Stone | Imitation Stone Coatings |
Color | Can perfectly replicate the natural stone color and be customized as needed | Limited by material properties, color is fixed and unchangeable | Can only imitate natural stone colors but lacks natural tonal variations |
Texture & Pattern | Adjustable texture and pattern with enhanced design flexibility | Fixed texture and pattern, cannot be modified | Partially mimics natural stone patterns but lacks depth and realism |
Product Molding | Highly versatile, available in various sizes and shapes, including custom designs | Limited flexibility, complex molding process, and high cost | Cannot directly achieve 3D effects, relies on wall structure or additional components for depth |
Comparison Criteria | Our Eco-Stone | Natural Stone |
Radiation Levels | Made from inorganic materials such as cement, color sand, and iron oxide pigments, with zero radiation | Natural stone contains some level of radiation |
Environmental Pollution | Environmentally friendly production process with no water, noise, or air pollution | Quarrying and processing produce significant water, noise, and air pollution |
Energy Consumption | Low energy consumption, forms naturally through cement hydration reaction | Quarrying and processing consume vast natural resources, leading to high costs and severe environmental damage |
1.Base Surface Preparation | -- Clean the wall surface to remove dust, grease, and loose debris, and roughen the surface as needed. -- For low-absorption or smooth surfaces (such as plastic or wood), install a wire mesh or fiber mesh and apply a rough base layer to enhance adhesion. The base should be fully cured before installing the eco-stone. |
2. Adhesive Application | Before installation, apply a high-strength, high-adhesion, and flexible adhesive that meets national standards to ensure a firm bond between the eco-stone and the wall surface. |
3.Pre-Installation Planning | To achieve the desired overall effect, create a sample wall or sample section for different base surfaces before installation. This step determines the arrangement of the eco-stone, joint width and depth, grouting style and color, waterproofing and drainage design, and key construction details. |
4. Process Inspection and Surface Preparation | Inspect and clean the base surface, then proceed with the following steps: check vertical alignment, squareness, and leveling, apply guide marks, mark separation lines, and install the eco-stone tiles according to the plan. |
5. Edge Cutting and Adjustment | --If the eco-stone dimensions do not meet installation requirements, cut and adjust the edges as needed. -- When tiling corners, install the corner pieces first and pay attention to the jointing method to ensure a neat and seamless finish. |
6.Grouting | --Grouting should only be performed after the installed eco-stone has reached sufficient strength. -- Before filling the joints, clean them thoroughly. -- Use a plastic bag filled with grout to evenly apply the filling. -- Once the grout begins to set, remove excess material with a bamboo stick or other suitable tool, and smooth the edges with a damp brush to ensure a clean and polished appearance. |
7.Protective Treatment | --After installation, continuously spray water on the eco-stone surface for three days to maintain proper moisture levels. -- Allow for natural curing for one week. -- Once both the eco-stone and grout are completely dry, apply a protective coating evenly to enhance stain resistance and durability. |
8.Additional Protection Measures | If further construction work (such as painting or drilling) is needed on the installed eco-stone wall, appropriate protective measures must be taken to prevent contamination or damage. |
Supplement for Wet Installation Reinforcement |
When using the wet installation reinforcement method, two additional steps must be added after the Process Inspection step:
